Have you thought about self publishing? Using correct keywords that your audience would be looking for? Memoirs do not generally sell well unless you are famous. Could you relate your story to parallel the story of a famous person with a similar story?

Reflect on what you were trying to accomplish the the written work. Trying to inspire others? Be heard and affirmed? Warning to others? Could your goals be accomplished by just having completed the work? To promote conversation with your kids? Others?

It might be worth moving on to other projects while your reflect on some of these goals. All the best!

It might be useful for you to have some of your followers read the piece, or parts of it, and see what they think.

Sometimes it’s enough that we’ve written our stories for ourselves. They help us establish our truth. They help us move towards healing and understanding. Sometimes even redemption. I’m proud of you for writing it.

It was a complicated relationship. Don’t judge yourself by that relationship or the story.
